Parasite Control

Parasite Control

Due to their lifestyle and natural habits, dogs and cats are at risk of getting internal and external parasites. The best way to protect your pets and yourself from parasites is to have your pet examined annually by their veterinarian. For all of our patients, we request you bring in a fecal sample from your pet to check for internal parasites. A combination of an antigen test, a microscopic study, and a PCR will be used in our reference lab for the diagnosis of internal parasites.

We also recommend an annual blood test to screen your pet for heartworm and tick-borne diseases.

There are many extremely effective and safe parasite-prevention products available. You can protect your beloved pet against the majority of internal and external parasites by giving your pet a chewable tablet once monthly.
